40K Transmission cooler kit for the 09-15 CTS-V
If you’re looking for the ultimate transmission cooler for your 09-15 CTS-V this is the kit for you. We’ve managed to squeeze a 40,000 BTU transmission cooler in the OEM location. These means everything else operates just like GM intended (other options place the trans cooler in front of the heat exchanger which is not ideal). Since the 40K unit is so much thicker we’re forced to space the A/C condenser and heat exchanger forward by about 5/8 of an inch. This means some heat exchangers will come in contact with the bumper beam. You will either need to trim your bumper beam or add on one of our tubular crash bars. The crash bar will also increase airflow to the cooling components. You will also need to bypass or relocate your power steering cooler as there will be no additional space for this component (we have options for this). This system will also bypass the cooler built into the radiator which reduces heat input from the engine and additional restriction on the transmissions hydraulic system.
